1921 Denim features super-soft Japanese denim and focuses on vintage denim designs. Experienced denim designer Allan Kemp incorporates details from authentic vintage sources into the 1921brand’s modern offerings. The company is relatively new on the fashion scene with only about 4 years under its belt, but already the brand has developed a strong following. 1921 Denim jeans are manufactured in Canada and produce a quality product.

1921 Jeans appeared in the news a few weeks after Victoria Beckham took a couple of days off from the World Cup to visit the company headquarters in Winnipeg, Canada. It would appear the Victoria may be on the lookout for a new denim deal following the news that her existing relationship with Rock & Republic may have soured. Western Glove Works, the manufacturer of 1921 jeans is one of the oldest family-owned denim manufacturers in the North America and they have made use of their own archives to produce a collection of denim which is inspired by jeans that were around at the turn of the century (I assume they mean 1900 and not 2000). These jeans are already popular with the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Paris Hilton, whilst Teri Hatcher’s character Susan in Desperate Housewives is also a fan of their 1921 Flare Jean. If1921 Jeans do successfully manage to lure Victoria Beckham away from Rock & Republic they can be sure of acres of publicity which would help them move up into the premier league of premium denim brands.

Rock & Republic were back in Paris recently to present their spring summer 2010 collection. Today we’re showing you the first photos of a line they unveiled in early October in the Hotel Crillon.

The collection was presented by Andrea Bernholtz, with a video created by Paola Kudacki.

The collection created by Michael Ball is sexual but innocent too – in fact, it’s inspired by Lolita, the classic work by Nabakov.

We like their sumptuous leathers and structured jackets, their interesting prints on leggins and daring, rigid dresses. Black is the true territory of Rock & Republic.

Designed with a thin breathable mesh, Saxx Comfort Side Panels are a design innovation in men’s underwear – providing men with contact free comfort, support and a great feel.

Jason Dussault has been creating art all his life in many mediums, and over the last five years he has focused his talent on the creation of Fashion. He is currently the Chief Creator for Dussault Apparel; Gene Simmons MoneyBag; Vanity; and DEUCE Custom Ink.

He has done custom designs for celebrities including The Black Eyed Peas, Gene Simmons, Criss Angel, Pam Anderson, Nickelback, Dee Snider, Kat Von D, Flo Rida, and Todd McFarlane.

Jason has designed the world¹s most expensive Denim at $250,000.00; two Indy Cars; Flow Snowboards; and one of the key merchandising logos and some of the clothing sold at Criss Angels¹ Believe Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas.

The designs that have created the greatest buzz for Jason have been his hoodies which have coined him “The Hoodie King.” His hoodies are hand made in East Van and retail from $600 to $2,500. Over 5,000 hoodies have sold in the last five years.

Deuce is a collaboration of Jason Dussault and the likes of Todd Mcfarlane of The Spawn franchise.

SNEAK PEEK into WR Fall 2010 Collection

If designers were graded on their ability to hit as many trends as possible in a single runway show, Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala would have scored highest marks. Army green fatigue jackets and cargo pants? Check. Black leather paired with gray sweatshirts? Check. Navajo-blanket coats, nylon flight jackets, and raccoon tails clipped to belt loops? Check, check, and check. What the William Rast collection lacked in a singular theme (or deeper message), it made up for with a slick patina and groovy threads that could have been nicked directly from the models’ own closets.

Denim was less of a focus this season, suggesting the designers are aiming to expand their reach. The selection of leather was the strongest draw, particularly the quilted moto vests, leggings, and a twill and leather combo jacket. This isn’t “important” fashion, but it passes the all-important cool test with flying colors.
