William Rast Web Movies with Justin Timberlake

We are sure that this will be fun to watch! - web movies = selling more jeans?  Who knows? Mr. Timberlake seems to have the magic touch as of late.   

Justin Timberlake will be starring in My Name is William Rast, a series of short Web movies to promote his clothing line, William-Raast. Co-starring model Erin Wasson, they play a Bonnie and Clyde style couple on the lam from the law…albeit a hiply-dressed pair of fugitives, clad as they are in head-to-toe William Rast.

Ever-known for his inventive fashion sense and good tase, Kanye upholds his roots but knows no shame when it comes to indulging in the finer threads life has to offer. So when Kanye stopped by the Evisu showroom, it was only a matter of minutes before we were talking about denim and Evisu’s latest collection. Classic, as always.

A native of Los Angles and practitioner of Los Angles lifestyle, Rick Klotz was always searching for an avenue to combine his influences. With a passion for graphic design, Klotz cut his teeth designing flyers for the variety of club and music scenes bubbling in the LA area during the mid to late eighties. In 1989, Rick’s design skills and style segued from the paper medium to the cloth and Freshjive was born. Considered by some as a catalyst to the Streetwear segment, Freshjive was rooted in Los Angeles culture and drew influences from hip hop, punk, surf, skate and art. Since it was conceived, the quality and style of the brand has been complimented by political and social commentary as well as humor. Sometimes controversial, Freshjive has remained true to its origins and influences. 

Evisu @ Queue

Once upon a time there was a real connoisseur of fashion, Hidehiko Yamane – as expert and demanding as only certain Japanese “otaku” can be. He passionately searched for the best products to import from anywhere in the world.  

He soon realized that quality denim, the original, was impossible to find on the market. Then, during one of his trips looking for vintage pieces, he came across a 1950s American loom capable of weaving forty metres of a “selvedge” denim a day. Yamane had an idea: why not make exceptional jeans for connoisseurs like himself? So the Evisu adventure began. In 1988 Yamane – who calls himself a tailor, not a designer of jeans – created a cult product.
